Computer Vision Software Engineer
Snibbe Interactive (www.snibbeinteractive.com) is seeking a software engineer with superb computer vision software engineering skills and relevant experience with 3d motion estimation and 3d human pose estimation for highly engaging and challenging work in interactive media/ We are developing the next generation of our 3D tracking software systems.
Snibbe Interactive is a fast-growing company that creates large-scale interactive installations for museums, entertainment, face-to-face marketing, and retail. Our work has unique characteristics of bringing joy, social engagement and meaning to the everyday lives of ordinary people. Our market is worldwide. Some of our clients include Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, Shell Corporation, the Exploratorium, the London Science Museum, Atlantic City Piers, Yahoo Corporation and many others.
Key skills required:
- Computer vision experience with 3d motion estimation and 3d human pose estimation for articulated human body models.
- Experience with human body segmentation using a single depth-sensing camera in a natural environment.
- Experience with accurate and reliable human pose estimation in a natural environment.
- Experience tracking the movement of the limbs of a human body using maker-less motion capture.
- Good software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to integrate into a large, well-engineered vision/graphics system while improving and extending it.
- M.Sc or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
Skills and interest in the following areas are also useful:
- Computer graphics programming
- Strong familiarity with windows development and running environments, ability to troubleshoot drivers, graphics cards, video capture
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
