Graphic Designer with Illustration Skills for Interactive Media

Are you a talented graphic designer and illustrator with a real intuition for interactive media? Snibbe Interactive is seeking a contract graphic designer with a flair for illustration. Your responsibilities will be to create design documentation, digital graphic elements and illustrations for immersive, interactive installations and marketing materials. You will make a strong creative contribution to the look and feel of our interactive exhibits from concept art through to production assets and work closely with our creative director and other designers and programmers. 

Snibbe Interactive is a fast-growing company that creates large-scale personalized interactive experiences for science museums, branding and entertainment. Some of our recent installations have taken place at The Beijing Olympics, the California Academy of Sciences, the London Science Museum, Sony's New York Headquarters and many others. Our work has unique charactertistics of bringing joy, social engagement and meaning to the everyday lives of ordinary people.
 
Key Skills Required:

• Degree in illustration, graphic design, interaction design, exhibit design or related area.
  
• Confident and quick in independently solving visual and interaction problems with clever and innovative solutions.in design and illustration (online portfolio required).
• Well-versed with desktop artist's applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and 3D graphics software (SketchUp, etc).
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles of interactive, immersive experiences.
• Demonstrated understanding of branding, entertainment and museum experiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communicator.
• Confident, compassionate demeanor and calm in the face of deadlines and changes.
• A curiosity in science, history, culture, branding and the other fields of our clients are a plus.
• Ability to animate in Flash or After Effects is a plus.
  

Responsibilities:

• Skillfully illustrate design concepts in hand-drawn, 2D computer illustration and 3D illustrations
• Design social interactive experiences for museums, branding and entertainment
• Produce final production artwork and animation assets for interactive exhibits
• Work collaboratively with other creative, engineering and business staff
